In The Studio Today

I’ve been playing around with collage lately. I like to cut up pieces of watercolors that seem to want a life of their own. It’s fun combining pieces and then painting on them or gluing more things on.

Here are a couple of pieces I’m playing with today. The first image is of one that feels like it's just starting to speak. It's a mix of watercolor fragments, finding harmony and contrast in unexpected places. Then there's a journal painting that’s more about the day's mood than anything else—ink and wash blending quietly on the page.

Thoughts?

I’m just sharing a slice of my day with you, hoping it might spark something, anything—curiosity, inspiration, or maybe just a moment of connection. What's been keeping you busy? Any creative adventures you've been on lately? I’d love to hear about it.
